Customer Experience & Events Associate
Locations
West End Campus (West End Facility & The Bunker) — 1300 Bath Road, Kingston, ON
East End — 695 Innovation Drive, Kingston, ON
Hours
Weekends: Availability required on Saturdays and Sundays
Weekdays: Scheduled based on availability
Rate: $18.00/hour
Transportation: Must have reliable transportation
Overview
BGC South East is looking for energetic, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team at both the West End Campus and East End location. In this role, you'll help create safe, fun, and memorable experiences for children, families, and community members. From greeting guests and supporting birthday parties to keeping our facilities running smoothly, you'll play an important part in ensuring every visitor has a positive experience from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm, friendly, and professional customer service to all guests
- Answer phone calls, return messages, and manage reservations accurately
- Maintain clean and orderly spaces, including the front desk, lobby, bathrooms, simulator rooms, bowling lanes, and party rooms
- Handle cash and process payments through Square POS and SYNC systems
- Distribute equipment, explain rules and guidelines, and ensure guest safety
- Support party room events by checking in regularly and assisting when needed
- Engage with guests in the putting area to offer help and maintain a positive atmosphere
- Lead and support birthday parties to ensure schedules run smoothly and guests have what they need
- Collaborate with rentals, groups, and other staff to provide a cohesive guest experience
- Work as part of a team and assist in other areas during busy periods
West End & East End Birthday Parties
- Greet birthday groups and help with any special requests
- Set up party rooms so they're clean, organized, and welcoming
- Serve as the main point of contact during parties, supporting parents and organizers
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure food and refreshments arrive on time
- Keep parties on schedule and assist with activity transitions
- Clean and disinfect party areas after each event
- Sanitize the jungle gym (East End) after each use
- Provide excellent customer service by anticipating needs and resolving issues promptly
Job Requirements
- Current Standard First Aid / CPR Level C
- TDP (TDAP/Adacel/10-year booster) and MMR immunizations must be up to date
- Criminal Reference Check (Vulnerable Sector Check) completed within the last 6 months
- HIGH FIVE and WHMIS certifications are considered assets
- Reliable transportation required

- Cash-handling experience is an asset
- Able to be a positive role model for children and youth
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
- Able to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
