The Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector is responsible for supervising the housekeeping team including Housekeepers, Laundry, and Houseman. A Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector provides leadership, direction, and guidance to the team, ensuring the guest rooms are cleaned and maintained to the highest level of service.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
To assist in supervising and overseeing the performance of the housekeeping department.
To assume the responsibilities of the housekeeping department in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
Prepare daily room assignments and key distribution to room attendants.
Oversee laundry operations if on site.
Daily room inspections.
Communicate with Front Desk with status of rooms, checkouts, and stay-overs.
Input guestroom information into computer system.
Assist with cleaning rooms as needed.
Conduct performance reviews and performance management as required.
Prerequisites:
The ideal candidate is a seasoned housekeeping professional with outstanding, supervisory or management skills and extensive firsthand experience. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Education:
A post secondary education in hotel management is an asset. Must have excellent verbal, written and computer system skills.
Experience:
Previous experience as a Housekeeper, preference given for luxury resort and international experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $27.78 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
