The Housekeeping Houseman/Inspector is responsible for inspecting rooms across our properties prior to guest check-in to ensure that rooms are fully cleaned and stocked for guests. They are also responsible for transporting staff and delivering requested items across our locations to attend to the needs of guests, as well as for maintaining the cleanliness of common areas and offices.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Inspecting rooms to a 4 plus star standard, which includes such items as:
a. Inspecting all cleanliness details of rooms, including but not limited to kitchen areas, washrooms, lighting, beds (including underneath), etc.

b. Ensuring all amenities are placed nicely within rooms.

c. Collection of any lost and found items from Room Attendants.

d. Reporting any maintenance required to maintenance team and log.
- Make sure all housekeeping storages are stocked and organized
- Make sure every kitchen in each room has the correct inventory for guests before their arrival.
- Assist in cleaning rooms when required.
- Assist in transportation of housekeeping team to where they are required.
- Assist in ensuring housekeeping rooms are kept in an orderly fashion.
- Report need of inventory and supplies to the Supervisor or Manager.
- Assist housekeeping team in any manner required on busy days.
- Attend to in house guest requests
- Transport housekeepers between locations, logging all trips taken on clipboard sheet
- Transport guest luggage between locations
- Keep vehicles clean and tidy
- Support front desk with bed changes and guest needs as required
- Provide janitorial services for common areas of buildings and offices.
- Empty garbage in accounting office daily
- Clean floors and carpets in various locations
- Handle laundry in various sites to ensure organization.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must have valid BC Driver’s license
- Previous hotel experience an asset but not mandatory.
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Service oriented.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Position requires flexibility in shifts and schedule and evening/weekend work required.
- Extensive physical activity and lifting on a daily basis to complete position requirements as above.
- Training will be provided.
- We are based in the upper village of Whistler.
