Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Dental Receptionist will be responsible for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive patient experience. We have excellent hours. no weekends , only Tuesdays till 7 ,occasional Fridays 9-1. Having a dental assistant background would help but willing to train.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and confirm patient visits
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Dentrix and Epic
  • Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing processes
  • Collect payments and process transactions efficiently at the front desk
  • Update patient information and ensure data accuracy in electronic medical records
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and correspondence
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area

Experience

  • Prior dental office experience is highly preferred, including familiarity with ABEL
  • Having a dental asst background would help
  • Experience working in a medical or dental office environment is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
  • Proven office experience with proficiency in multi-line phone systems and administrative tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor required
  • Previous experience as a front desk receptionist or administrative assistant in healthcare settings is desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.93-$25.00 per hour
