Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes and supporting the overall food service process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, food safety, and delivering excellent customer experiences in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Cook menu items with consistency, quality, and attention to detail
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
  • Support the serving staff by preparing orders promptly and accurately
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock as needed
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is functioning properly and report any maintenance issues

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
  • Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and practices
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
  • Knowledge of meal preparation, food safety protocols, and sanitation procedures
  • Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
