Job Summary

Reporting to the VP, the Accounting Technician is responsible for accounting duties, including full cycle accounts receivable, invoicing, accounts payable, and related financial reporting and analisys. A focus on continuous improvement and the ability to identify and recommend efficient solutions in relation to current processes is an integral part of this role.

Duties:

  • Applying AR payments and performing account reconciliations
  • Entering vendor bills and applying AP payments
  • Preparing journal entries for month end
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Investigating and resolving any customers' and vendors' inquiries
  • Assisting in general financial management and analysis
  • Process credit checks
  • Deposit cheques and process credit card charges
  • Miscellaneous administrative tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Education:

  • DCS / DEC (required)

Experience:

  • Accounting: 3 years (required)
  • Netsuite software: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation (preferred)
  • Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) certification (preferred)
