Saturn has an opportunity for a full time Production Accountant based in the Calgary, Alberta office. The Production Accountant is a key member of the group, reporting to the Team Lead, Production Accounting, with responsibility for monthly production and revenue accounting functions for operated and non-operated Saskatchewan properties.

Some specific duties, and responsibilities of the Production Accountant include, but are not limited to:

  • Completion of the monthly production accounting cycle.
  • Monthly completion of account reconciliation of accounts receivable.
  • Third party processing fees billing and trucking allocations.
  • Respond to government, royalty, partner, and internal stakeholders' queries.
  • Generate and analyze reports from Optix and other reporting tools for various stakeholders and purposes.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of the Finance team by proactively identifying and sharing process improvement opportunities.
  • Other duties and special projects as required.

Candidates for this position will possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Solid Microsoft Excel skills with prior experience leveraging these skills to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Experience working with Qbyte suite of systems (Qbyte Metrix, Optix, Qbyte FM, CS Land Prod) is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 7+ years of oil and gas experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a team-player perspective and the ability to build relationships and work constructively with others to achieve business goals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Capacity to meet tight deadlines, set priorities and organize workload.
  • Self‐motivated, results driven, prefers work in a fast‐paced dynamic environment.
  • CAPPA certification and/or ongoing education preferred.
  • Degree or diploma in accounting considered an asset.
