Director of Infrastructure

The City of Warman is seeking to fill the full-time position of Director of Infrastructure working at City Hall.  This position reports directly to the City Manager. The Director of Infrastructure is responsible for providing strategic leadership and legislative compliance for the planning and management of the infrastructure for the City including establishing the asset management program and leading the development of infrastructure programs to construct new and to replace aging assets.

Other responsibilities include preparing capital and operating budgets, tenders, and contracts as well as ensuring the City's environmental, safety and regulatory liability is well-managed. The Director of Infrastructure is part of a service-oriented, dynamic leadership team committed to advancing Council's strategic priorities at the local and regional level.

Requirements:

·       University degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field. Must be a Professional Engineer or Engineering Licensee registered in good standing or eligible to be registered with APEGS.

·       Significant demonstrated experience in municipal engineering design, project management, construction, contract administration and asset management. Project management professional (PMP) designation preferred.

· years related experience in transportation, road construction, stormwater/drainage, water and wastewater with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior supervisory role.

·       Ability to work within technical and municipal standards, but flexible in approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to find creative solutions.

·       Proficient in a wide range of computer applications applicable to engineering, design and project management.

·       Class 5 Driver's License and Driver's Abstract.

·       Must pass a criminal background check.
