Evergreen Golf Course, situated in the town of Nipawin, Saskatchewan, lies on the edge of the scenic Provincial Forest in Northeast Saskatchewan. This 18-hole championship course is celebrated for its challenging layout, pristine greens, and picturesque fairways framed by lush forest.

The course features a signature long par-5 opening hole, diverse natural elements, and top- notch practice facilities. The course is overseen by a dedicated Board of Directors and forms part of the Nipawin & District Regional Park.

We are seeking a contract Golf & Pro Shop Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, this role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the golf pro shop, including retail sales, golf lessons, tee time scheduling, and tournament coordination. The Evergreen Golf Course is operational and open to the public from April through mid-October.

The Golf & Pro Shop Manager will lead and manage the Pro Shop and Back Shop staff, ensuring exceptional service and smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of Golf Pro Shop operations, member services, driving range, and overall golf activities.
  • Maintain and promote the course's reputation while ensuring a professional and respected image.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for Pro Shop and Back Shop team members.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all club events, leagues, and instructional program as required.
  • Work closely with the Golf Superintendent to ensure seamless coordination and smooth operation of all golf activities.
  • Source, stock, and maintain appropriate merchandise for the Pro Shop.
  • Collaborate with the Nipawin & District Regional Park Board of Directors to develop the annual golf operations budget, including monthly and ad hoc reporting.
  • Communicate and work closely with the bookkeeper and park administrator on all financial aspects of golf operations.
  • Manage or contract social media services to promote Evergreen Golf Course.
  • Implement, enforce, and uphold all Evergreen Golf Course policies.

Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Extensive experience in management and leadership roles.
  • Previous experience in golf course management considered a significant asset.
  • PGA of Canada Professionals designation is considered a strong asset, but not required
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office, Tee-On Golf Systems, and Golf Genius.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and golf course marketing strategies.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $55,000 to $90,000 annually
  • Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • Bi-weekly wages paid year-round.
