We're now seeking a People & Talent Specialist to help us scale by bringing in great people and supporting an engaged, compliant, and organized team across North America.
This role is a hybrid role with 3-days in office at either our Vancouver or Calgary office.
Role Overview
As the People & Talent Specialist, you'll be the driving force behind our recruiting efforts and employee experience. This role is about finding exceptional talent, owning the candidate journey, and ensuring HR excellence. You will be responsible for managing our internal HR systems, maintaining personnel records, and ensuring Eligeo remains compliant and organized as we grow.
This is a mid-level position with significant ownership—ideal for someone who's excited to wear multiple hats and build the people function inside a scaling company.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition (Approx. 70%)
Own the full recruitment cycle: sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and managing offers.
Maintain active hiring pipelines and anticipate future talent needs in coordination with team leads.
Post jobs, update role descriptions, and manage our job boards and ATS.
Lead hiring initiatives with a focus on quality, speed, and cultural alignment.
Champion an exceptional candidate experience across every touchpoint.
HR Operations & Compliance (Approx. 30%)
Maintain and update all employee HR records, contracts, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with employment standards in Canada and the US (with support from legal/payroll providers).
Administer onboarding and offboarding processes end-to-end.
Track and report on employee metrics (headcount, tenure, etc.).
Coordinate performance review processes and employee check-ins.
Internal Knowledge Management
Own and maintain Eligeo's internal knowledge base for employees (e.g., Trainual).
Ensure company policies, procedures, and onboarding materials are always up to date and accessible.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure documentation reflects how we work.
What We're Looking For
3–5 years experience in recruiting, HR, or people operations.
Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Familiarity with employment legislation (Canada and/or USA).
Comfortable working independently and owning outcomes.
Experience using HRIS, ATS, and knowledge base tools is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
