Position Overview:
Reporting to the Controller, the
IT Support Specialist
is responsible to provide technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist end-users in resolving IT-related problems. Position plays role in maintaining functionality of computer systems, networks, and other technology resources within organization. The role ensures minimal downtime, supports system performance, and contributes to overall user satisfaction and productivity through timely and effective problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting Provide accurate and efficient support for user issues.
  • User Account Management Create and manage user accounts, including onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Hardware & Software Maintenance Install, configure, and maintain hardware; perform updates on software systems.
  • System Monitoring & Incident Response Monitor IT systems for performance and availability; respond to incidents promptly.
  • Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of support requests, assets, and solutions.
  • Network & Connectivity Support Maintain wired and wireless network connectivity.
  • Security & Compliance Support Assist in implementing IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Customer Service & Communication Provide a professional service and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Continuous Improvement & Training Stay updated with technology trends and support new processes and tools.

Qualifications And Skills

  • A two-year diploma in Information or Computer Systems, or a degree in a related field, along with relevant certifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics and resolve issues for users with varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Help Desk, System Administration, or Desktop Support role, including hands-on administration of Active Directory and experience with both on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
  • Intermediate proficiency in administering Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure environments.
  • Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or mid-sized company is preferred.
