Account Manager, Inside Sales

Primary Job Purpose:
The focus of the role is the development and nurturing of B2B accounts to build relationships & drive growth. The Customer Service/Inside Sales representative's purpose is to manage relationships and drive growth in an assigned territory of existing small to medium sized customers. It requires effective time management to ensure the assigned territory is receiving the proper attention. This role provides a superior level of customer service and sales support services to all assigned customers and supports the company's vision and values to represent National Shoe in a professional manner at all times to customers, suppliers and employees. Please note this role is an in-office position.
Customer Service/Inside Sales:
- Ongoing/regular contact via telephone, email and online interactions to promote new products and providing ongoing updates relating to new programs, pricing updates, and monthly flyers and specials.
- Provides in-bound customer call/email support in the processing and troubleshooting of customer orders.
- Maintains assigned metrics in call rates and parameters, and to provide support in growing the business within the assigned account base.
- Communication within the sales team and our customers - provide support, feedback & updates.
- Assist outside sales with developing assigned accounts to promote new products and other company initiatives as necessary.
- Achievement of agreed sales and call targets.
- Utilizes Salesforce to track, support and manage their business.
- Identifying & communicating any potential loss of business, as well as being proactive with new leads and new potential business.
- Assists at agreed Industry Trade Shows and events when required.
- Develop and increase product & customer knowledge to assist in sales growth.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of national and local market trends, build opportunities to develop new business and react to market conditions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years customer service/account management experience.
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
- Prior CRM experience an asset.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment in an office setting.
- Experience in the wholesale industry is an asset.
