The RoleWe are currently searching for a Manager, Retail Services, reporting to the VP, Retail. This is a 12-month, full-time contract opportunity. The Retail Services Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving operational excellence across TBS retail. This role oversees daily operations, optimizes processes, and builds strong partnerships internally and externally to ensure seamless execution. Key responsibilities include developing and improving operational workflows, managing capital and store budgets, overseeing reporting and compliance, and serving as a critical communication link between Corporate Retail, Support Divisions, and Field Operations. The Retail Services Manager plays a pivotal role in enabling profitability, enhancing customer experience, and fostering collaboration throughout the organization. This role requires the ability to maintain a flexible schedule to ensure continuity of operations and team support.
LocationOur Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model with visits into the office a minimum of three times per week and on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead a high-performing Retail support team and foster strong cross-functional relationships
- Drive financial planning and performance, overseeing annual operating plans, budgets, and cost optimization initiatives
- Deliver actionable insights through advanced analytics, scenario planning, and clear communication to influence executive decisions
- Champion process improvement, continuously enhancing operational workflows to boost efficiency and customer experience
- Oversee reporting and compliance, ensuring accuracy and governance across all retail division activities
- Manage strategic projects, aligning corporate, field, and vendor partners for seamless execution of key programs
- Elevate customer experience, reinforcing programs that deliver superior service and sustainability across retail locations
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors, negotiating and managing service contracts to maximize value and reduce costs
- Lead planning forums and performance reviews, promoting transparency, trust, and data-driven decision-making
- Act as a key liaison, representing the organization with external partners and committees to strengthen industry relationships
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
- Post-graduate in Business or Economics
- Certification in Retail Administration or Retail Management preferred
- 8-10 years management experience in a retail focused environment
- 5 years in financial management, budgeting or related area
- Experience working closely with suppliers and customers to balance demand and supply requirements
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with a focus on operational excellence
- Financial acumen for budget management and forecasting
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop collaborative relationships across the company
- Clear communication skills and a talent for connecting strategy to execution
- Drives a continuous improvement and solutions-oriented mindset, takes initiative, and pro-actively seeks opportunities to add value
- Excellent presentation skills, adept at delivering messages concisely and with confidence and passion
- Strong ability to be flexible and adapt to changing business needs
- Strong project management skills
