Job DetailsPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:
New Business
Utilizes pharma and Business Development relationships to prospect and source new contacts, and to pitch existing CSL/Innomar pharma clients
Initiates and meets with decisions makers in the pharmaceutical / healthcare industry to build trust and strategically position CSL and Innomar
Identify, develop and nurture relationships with companies, enhancing our company profile.
Prepare and present capabilities presentations to potential clients at senior levels within their organizations
Prepare response submissions to RFPs by developing strategic plan, proposing tactics and preparing pricing quotes
Lead and participate both as CSL client lead and a team member on key pitches for business from new and existing clients
Develop expected launch and LOE brand target lists based on market insights and available data. Track all targets, and cross-collaborate with the broader business development team in the organization for outreach efforts. This will include financial models for use in acquiring new business for all client leads in department
Client Relations
Once acquired, act as client lead for pharma client responsibilities – maintain and manage relationships to leverage products and ensure all program deliverables meet or exceed client expectations. This includes acting as SME for cross functional teams across the manufacturer, inputting into strategic plans, and driving the execution of tactical plans
Act as client team member, for larger accounts across Innomar, for various card programs, consulting, commercial opportunity assessment, pricing and brand management projects
Work with claims adjudication partner on developing and designing card programs, pricing and business intelligence for the client.
Based on market insights, drives optimization of process and recommends regional product positioning, card design, and card payment strategies to produce the highest possible card uptake and use
Provide strategic presentations and reports on card program implementation and ongoing metrics. Responsible for all data initiatives for existing clients, including reporting presentations, reports, and reporting portal enhancements, ongoing metrics, MD level data, adherence tracking, and reporting integration with PSP
Develop and provide reports on transaction growth and success against targets or KPIs both for the client and for internal tracking and monitoring.
Ensures effective control of program results and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of program objectives falls within approved budgets. Creates budgets and manages resources, projects and financial requirements for their various card programs
Constantly looking for new or expanded business opportunities for CSL across existing client portfolios and connecting team members for cross selling opportunities across our Canadian business streams
Lead regular touch points with clients depending on program and client needs – for example weekly or monthly calls, regular QBRs, etc.
Manage SOWs and MSAs approval process with legal and pharma clients,
Corporate Development
Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity
Based on the above, develops a detailed action plan to build a solution to address competitive entry, with oversight on the development of solutions, to launch the solution to the market.
Partner with Marketing and the Commercial Strategy team to develop and review promotional activities related to card programs for LOE, Bridge to Reimbursement and Co-pay assistance programs. This will include gathering market surveillance, any research, and consultation with stakeholders to provide feedback on future product development in market
Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to any project budgetary requirements
Works internally on senior level projects to enhance patient data tracking solutions across all levels of Innomar that work with CSL (existing clients)
Interface with third party vendors or agencies, if applicable, working with client to determine project requirements and advise on card program-based specifics
Experience and Educational Requirements:
MBA and/or Business Degree in preferably Commerce/Marketing, Science or Pharmacy
10-15 years total combined experience in progressive sales, marketing, market research, market access, sales operations and business development roles
Pharmaceutical company experience a requirement
Vendor experience would also be helpful but not essential
Knowledge of card programs or claim adjudication would be an asset
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries – various therapeutic areas and levels within pharma companies
Knowledge of the Health Care Sector and Market Access/Reimbursement
Knowledge of Medical and Scientific terminology
Extensive knowledge of card adjudication and payment solutions using various formats
Ability to analyze, interpret and process data to achieve effective outcomes
Extensive knowledge of individuals of all levels across the pharma industry
Knowledge of digital platform development,
Lead and manage cross functional teams
Strong financial modelling skills
Ability to multi-task client demands and projects at once
Travel less than 20% of the time
