I am working with a world leading online automotive marketplace, helping them to source a Software Engineering Manager who excels at building high-performing, autonomous teams that deliver solutions customers genuinely value. You'll lead a cross-functional group of full-stack engineers responsible for a leading CRM platform and its related services, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Team Leadership:
    Build and nurture a resilient, diverse, and engaged engineering team through thoughtful hiring, mentorship, and clear growth paths. Foster an environment where psychological safety and technical excellence thrive.
  • Product Delivery:
    Drive execution of the CRM platform roadmap. Collaborate with product and design teams to define priorities, balance technical and business needs, and deliver features that enhance user experience and system reliability.
  • Technical Guidance:
    Provide architectural direction and mentorship across a PHP/Laravel backend and VueJS/TypeScript frontend stack. Review PRs, validate design decisions, and guide the team toward scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Promote reliability and quality by defining SLOs, establishing proactive monitoring, learning from incidents, and maintaining strong data integrity within your team's domain.
  • Strategic Leadership:
    Translate business strategy into actionable engineering initiatives. Participate in cross-functional planning, align team goals with company objectives, and help engineers understand their broader impact.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
  • Proven success delivering complex software products in collaborative environments
  • Strong technical background in full-stack development (PHP/Laravel and VueJS/TypeScript)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and modern software architecture patterns
  • Excellent communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to foster inclusive, diverse team cultures
  • Data-informed decision-making paired with empathetic leadership
  • Bonus: bilingual proficiency in
    French and English
