Type: Full-time
Fiska sits at the intersection of integrated payments and software, with a vision of building the leading commerce platform that makes it easier for software companies to embed payments into their business model. Our partners (software vendors and software companies) use Fiska to activate a range of value-added payment solutions that are convenient and integrate seamlessly into their workflows. Through Fiska, our partners can get to market quickly, maximize customer adoption, and minimize the cost and complexity of operating a payment solution.
About Us
Fiska is an innovative payments infrastructure company enabling SaaS platforms to seamlessly connect to payment networks and monetize transactions. Our solutions empower SMB SaaS commerce platforms in a fast-growing market with rapid adoption of integrated payments.
We're a small, highly motivated team of ambitious builders. We're profitable and not dependent on external funding. We focus on results, not titles.
The Role
We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our team and build the next generation of payment infrastructure for SaaS platforms. You'll work closely with product and cross-functional teams to design, implement, and scale core systems that power seamless payment experiences. From APIs to integrations, you'll help bring new capabilities from concept to production in a fast-paced, high-trust environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for payment processing and partner integrations using ASP.NET.
- Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to define requirements, architecture, and technical specifications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets high standards of quality and performance.
- Contribute to the full software lifecycle—from planning and design to deployment and monitoring.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, best practices, and trends in SaaS and payments infrastructure.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a software engineer, ideally in SaaS or fintech
- Proficiency in ASP.NET and familiarity with C#.
- Strong understanding of APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern development workflows.
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- Highly motivated, ambitious, self-starter with resilience and adaptability.
- Comfortable with change, wearing multiple hats and figuring things out.
Nice-to-haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience working with payment systems or financial APIs.
- Familiarity with credit card payment processing, tokenization, or PCI compliance.
- Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Experience with AI Tools (Cursor, Windsurf, ect).
Why Join Us?
- Make an impact in a small-scale, ambitious team.
- Be a part of a culture where you are a name and not a number, or a title
- Profitable, stable business in a rapidly growing market.
- Flexible work conditions, with the preference for a candidate excited to be in our downtown office 2–3 days/week.
- Competitive compensation package.
- Unlimited PTO (uncapped paid time off).
Before You Apply
Fiska isn't for everyone. If you're looking for easy wins or a comfortable ride, this won't be the place. But if you're a high-output, high-trust professional with fire in your gut and the kind of drive that doesn't quit at 5, we encourage you to apply.
Our Company Perks:
- Flexible work location and work hours around partners' needs.
- RRSP matching
- Flexible time-off policies with the week between Christmas to New Year's provided off.
- Company-wide retreats annually.
Fiska is committed to creating an inclusive and equitable environment that provides equal opportunity to all employees and applicants. Please inform a member of our hiring team if you require accommodations during the application process.
