Intern - Finance
Mississauga, ON / Full-time (Hybrid)
Pay rate $ $24.20(per hour)
Finance Intern will support the finance department in its daily operations, assisting with financial analysis, reporting, and administrative tasks.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes by assisting with reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting efforts, providing accurate data and insights for informed decision-making.
  • Support accounts receivable (A/R) initiatives by analyzing overdue accounts, conducting investigations on discrepancies, and managing deductions.
  • Aid in the processing of accounts payable (A/P) payments, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Generate and issue quotes for builders, ensuring clarity and compliance with company standards.
  • Perform various administrative tasks as needed to support the finance team.

Your Profile

  • Four-Year College in Business or related field like accounting, finance and economics - Preferred
  • 0-2 Years experience in Accounting, Finance, Economics - Preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with a logical mindset
  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities
  • Solid understanding of fundamental financial and accounting concepts
  • Detail-oriented with effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced team environment while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Travel Percentage - 10%
