Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our growing culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fast-casual/diner food, strong teamwork and communication skills, committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly during service. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
  • Lead, delegate, and assist in food preparation by cutting vegetables, punching fries, cooking proteins, and preparing soups, sauces, and batters.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including work stations and equipment.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled properly.
  • Collaborate with Front-of-House and Back-of-House to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and place orders as needed.
  • Monitor and fill out prep lists, and adjust pars accordingly.
  • Help with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.

Skills

  • Required: Food Handlers' Certificate
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
  • Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately while creating meal preparation.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing menus or kitchen demands.
