Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Your passion for food and commitment to excellence will contribute significantly to our restaurant's success and customer satisfaction. Duties Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Participate in menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal dishes or specials. Skills Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn new techniques or cuisines.
