We're looking for an Estate Planning Lawyer who wants meaningful work, genuine client relationships, and the chance to practice in a focused, high-trust environment.

What you'll do

  • Meet with clients to design estate plans that reflect real family dynamics and assets.
  • Draft and review Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, and related estate planning documentation.
  • Provide clear advice on tax, business and multi-generational planning issues.
  • Support probate and estate administration matters as needed.
  • Work closely with a skilled team of clerks and staff who keep files organized and moving.
  • Build long-term client relationships based on care, clarity, and professionalism.

You're a great fit if you

  • Are licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Have experience in estate planning, tax and estates /probate.
  • Can confidently advise on Ontario estate law and common planning structures.
  • Have Strong Communication skills to lead and educate our clients in making good decisions— especially when clients are anxious or grieving.
  • Are detail-focused, practical, and enjoy delivering excellent work.
  • Want to practice in a boutique environment where quality matters more than volume.

Qualifications / Demonstrated Skills:

  • A minimum of 5-6 years experience in Trusts, Wills and Estates.
  • TEP designation or working towards it would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet strict and sometimes competing deadlines, and exhibit sound judgment.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Advanced technical Wills and Estates expertise and strong client relationship management skills.
  • Deep knowledge of Ontario Wills and Estates law.
  • Experience developing personalized and comprehensive estate plans, including drafting Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney to optimize financial outcomes and preserve family harmony for clients.
  • Proven track record of advising a broad client base that includes high net worth (HNW) clients, professionals, business owners, and blended families.
  • Focused experience on complex estate planning, trusts, business succession and post-mortem tax planning.
