Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. The Assistant Store Manager will assist in managing daily store activities, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining a welcoming shopping experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Lead and supervise store staff, providing training and development to enhance team performance.
  • Manage merchandising efforts to ensure attractive product displays and proper inventory levels.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Support sales initiatives through effective marketing strategies and promotional activities.
  • Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.
  • Monitor pricing strategies and adjust as needed to meet sales targets.
  • Manage payroll processing and administrative tasks related to store management.
  • Collaborate with the team on budgeting, purchasing, and inventory control to optimize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and health regulations.

Skills

  • Strong leadership abilities with proven supervising experience in retail management.
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills.
  • Effective negotiation skills with vendors and suppliers; experience in purchasing is a plus.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently under pressure.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with experience in retail sales and marketing strategies.
  • Ability to train & develop staff while fostering a positive team environment.
  • Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, sales management, and store management principles.
  • Administrative experience including budgeting, payroll processing, and recordkeeping is advantageous. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $137,283.50-$164,460.52 per year
