Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and professional Live-Out Nanny to support a private household in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This is a morning-focused, part-time position caring for multiple children ranging from toddler to school age. The role primarily supports early-morning routines and household coordination and does not usually include after-school hours. Occasional weekend hours may be requested with advance notice.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare Responsibilities (Toddler & School-Age)

  • Provide safe, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care for multiple children
  • Manage morning routines, including waking, dressing, toileting/diapering, and hygiene
  • Prepare and serve simple, nutritious breakfasts and snacks
  • Support school readiness, including packing lunches, backpacks, and organizing school items
  • Assist with school drop-off preparation (transport if applicable)
  • Engage toddlers in age-appropriate play and developmental activities
  • Supervise school-age children during morning transitions
  • Ensure children's safety, emotional well-being, and supervision at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of children's bedrooms, play areas, and common spaces

Household Support

  • Assist with household organization and smooth morning operations
  • Support scheduling, reminders, and basic daily coordination
  • Run occasional errands related to household or morning needs
  • Provide light administrative support (emails, bookings, reminders)
  • Assist with general household tasks as required during morning hours

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 AM
  • Approximately 30 hours per week
  • Role is primarily mornings and usually does not include after-school hours
  • Occasional weekend hours may be requested with advance notice and mutual agreement

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a nanny, childcare provider.
  • Experience caring for both toddlers and school-age children
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • CPR & First Aid certification (required or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if applicable)
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (valid SIN required)
  • Successful completion of background and reference checks

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly wage: Ranges between $23-25 per hour (CAD) depending on experience
  • Vacation pay and general holiday pay in accordance with Alberta Employment Standards
  • Stable, ongoing part-time morning position
