PURPOSE
The Law Clerk is accountable to the General Counsel for provision of general administrative and support for all Morguard and client entities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting and Filing
Coordinates and assists with annual reporting documentation; performs securities, regulatory and corporate filings to government authorities; maintains procedure guides for corporate secretary's office; prepares resolutions and related corporate documents; assists in supplying required information and compliance reporting for mortgages; provides support to various corporate transactions, as required.Board of Directors
Coordinates and assists with shareholders' and directors' meetings; coordinates and prepares board book materials for boards of directors' and boards' committees; maintains minute books and records for public and private companies.Investors
Responds to investor related inquiries and information requests to ensure high standard of the customer services provided to the investors.Administrative Support
Provides general administrative support to the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel, as required, including arranging meetings, formatting and coordinating reports, maintaining filing system and chronology files, photocopying and faxing; carries out special projects, as assigned.Any other job-related duties and/or projects that may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education
- Law Clerk Diploma/Certificate or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a law firm or legal department in the corporate/securities field
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Knowledge of corporate entity management systems is an asset

Additional Requirements
