Position Overview

Autodesk Education Experiences' (AEX) Business Operations and Analytics (BOA) team is looking for an experienced Customer Analytics & Insights Manager who will drive analytics and strategy to support AEX's marketing efforts. In this hybrid role you will measure the impact of campaigns and make recommendations to increase growth, defining metrics and visualizations to report on awareness and adoption of key products and solution offerings through multi-touch campaigns through both digital and offline marketing channels, and advanced analytics projects to improve our understanding of our customers, their usage of our products, and improve marketing performance.

Reporting into the Business Operations and Analytics (BOA) team, you will support the AEX Marketing, Strategy, Field Engagement, and Youth teams. This collaborative role will require analyses of data that enables the success of AEX programs.

Responsibilities

Reporting and Analytics

  • Use your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand education user's lifecycle with Autodesk products

  • Partner with marketing to define campaign goals, design testing strategies, and develop measurement plans.

  • Analyze marketing programs and field engagement tactics to determine their effectiveness in growing engagement, product adoption and retention to inform optimization and future strategies and decisions

  • Provide ad hoc reports to AEX business partners.

  • Become a subject matter expert on marketing and product usage data and lead the data effort to build user behavior-based segmentation (i.e. likely to churn, highly engaged, likely to convert to commercial etc.)

Collaboration

  • You will collaborate with AEX Marketing teams to design testing strategies and metrics (KPI and secondary) to evaluate marketing effectiveness.

  • Be an important partner for AEX teams in developing segmentation strategies to target AEX users and prospects

  • Work with Operations to ensure measurement capabilities are in place before campaign execution

  • Collaborate with Field Engagement, Marketing and Product teams to gather requirements for enhancing the Autodesk data warehouse for AEX marketing and analytics purposes.

  • Collaborate with Autodesk employees outside of the group and/or customers

Data and Data Hygiene 

  • Query and transform data residing in large, unstructured databases for analysis purposes.

  • Validate and analyze the accuracy of account, contact, license and product usage data maintained in various databases and identify limitations in existing measurement capabilities.

  • Work closely with Autodesk employees outside your group and/or customers to reconcile data quality issues, when found

  • Interaction with other groups such as Information Technology, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Vendors will be necessary in some cases to facilitate data quality improvements

  • Proactively assess opportunities for potential improvements in analytics processes, data quality and data sources/tools

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field like Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Physics, or Economics

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing analytics for a consumer brand and/or a B2B brand

  • Prior experience in email/digital Marketing analytics

  • Strong SQL skills and some programming or scripting skills (Python, Spark, etc.)

  • Experience with statistical analysis programs (SAS, SPSS, R, etc.) and Advanced Analytics techniques (segmentation, clustering, etc)

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, etc. and prior experience in dashboarding

  • Critical thinker who is not afraid to ask questions and challenge status quo

  • You are able to take analysis and communicate key findings or learnings in impactful way

  • Sound business judgment; strategic and analytical capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a quantitative field like Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Physics, or Economics

  • Work experience in marketing analytics in a technology or a SaaS company

  • Strong scripting experience

  • Strong Advanced Analytic experience (predictive modeling, segmentation, MTA)

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $116,100 and $187,770. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
