Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Technical Sales Associate to join our team in Mississauga, ON. In this role, you will support and drive the sales of MYCOM industrial refrigeration compressors, compressor packages, and related system components across Eastern Canada. You will work closely with contractors and end-users, providing technical expertise from project design through execution.

This position involves approximately 50% in-office work and 50% travel to customer sites throughout Ontario, Québec, and Atlantic Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell industrial refrigeration screw and reciprocating compressor packages, bare compressors, and related components.
  • Provide technical support to customers, including on-site visits to diagnose issues and assess product suitability.
  • Use CRM/ERP systems to create and manage quotes, orders, and project data.
  • Maintain strong relationships with contractors and end-users to identify upcoming project opportunities.
  • Develop new customer relationships while maintaining and strengthening existing ones.
  • Participate in meetings with contractors/end-users to review design specifications.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide sales forecasts as required.
  • Attend industry trade shows as directed.
  • Train under existing sales managers to build product and market expertise.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/related field or technologist diploma.
  • 5–10 years of experience in the industrial refrigeration industry.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Experience using CRM/ERP tools for sales and project management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is an asset.
