Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Position is for every other Saturday plus one weekday as a start

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, educating patients on proper hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
  • Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and support.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar software.
  • Manage sterilization of instruments and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a positive experience for young patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.

Skills

  • Experience in a dental office setting is essential for success in this role.
  • Strong customer service skills to foster positive patient relationships.
  • Knowledge of dental assisting practices is a plus.
  • Experience or interest in pediatrics to cater to younger patients effectively.
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to communicate with diverse patient populations.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care.
  • Understanding of orthodontics and related procedures is beneficial.
