As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing robust, scalable, and secure software solutions. You will lead engineering teams, set technical direction, and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency through automation and best practices. Your expertise will be central to technical discussions, strategic planning, and the evolution of our technology stack and offerings. This role requires a collaborative mindset and the ability to translate complex business needs into innovative technical architectures.Key Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture & Design: Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-grade solutions, primarily on Azure and other public/private cloud platforms, ensuring performance, security, and scalability. Architect technical and infrastructure frameworks for web-based and mobile tools, with a focus on geospatial and data-driven applications.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring successful implementation of architectural vision. Oversee DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation to streamline development and deployment.
- Cloud Strategy & Governance: Define and maintain best practices for leveraging cloud services (Azure, GCP, etc.) for data processing, analysis, and visualization. Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards.
- Security & Compliance: Develop and enforce security protocols, conduct regular security assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Lead business workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and communicate architectural vision and progress. Translate business needs into technical solutions and align deliverables with client objectives.
- Technology Assessment & Innovation: Monitor emerging technologies (especially in geospatial, cloud, and automation), evaluate their potential, and drive adoption to enhance existing systems and inform future architectural decisions.
- Documentation & Communication:Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including design specifications, data flows, and infrastructure diagrams. Present design options and technical recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal operation and a seamless user experience across all solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in software development and solution architecture, with a strong background in cloud platforms (Azure, GCP), enterprise application design, and geospatial technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, , and experience with modern frameworks (Angular, React, .NET, etc.).
- Deep understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with geospatial data, GIS frameworks (ArcGIS, Geoserver, OpenLayers), and spatial databases (Postgres/PostGIS).
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, IAM, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and manage cross-functional projects.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in the utilities, energy, or oil & gas sectors.
- Familiarity with Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) models and large-scale data management.
- Certifications in Azure, GCP, or relevant cloud technologies.
