Job Overview

A golf course Starter/Marshal manages the flow of play, ensure timely tee times and adherence to pace-of-play rules, while also serving as a friendly ambassador, assisting golfers with questions, enforcing course policies (like dress code/ outside alcohol), and performing light course upkeep (divots, ball marks)- for a positive, smooth experience. for a positive, smooth experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Tee Time Management: Verify check-ins, ensure players tee off on schedule, and control the starting flow.
  • Pace of Play: Monitor groups, gently encourage slower groups to speed up, and ensure proper spacing.
  • Player Assistance: Greet guests, answer questions about rules/layout/amenities, and help with lost balls or equipment.
  • Course Ambassador: Create a welcoming atmosphere, enforce club policies (dress code, outside drinks), and report issues.
  • Course Maintenance: Perform light tasks like filling divots, repairing ball marks, raking traps, and cleaning ball washers.
  • Logistics: May involve setting up for tournaments, managing rental clubs, and maintaining the starter area.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $17.00-$18.50 per hour
