Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Repair or replace faulty components, including belts, gears, motors, and hydraulic systems
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades as needed
  • Conduct safety checks and identify potential hazards in the work environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar maintenance role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work space to help aid in timely and efficient repairs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating tasks
  • Must possess relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., ASE certification preferred)
  • Physical ability to lift heavy parts, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks safely
  • Nice-to-have skills include experience with computerized diagnostic tools or specific industry-related machinery
