Responsibilities
Product Development
- Define and articulate the product vision and long-term strategy to align cross-functional teams around shared objectives.
- Develop supporting documentation such as PRFAQs and strategic briefs to communicate the product vision, anticipated customer benefits, and market positioning across the organization.
- Gain an intimate understanding of Santevia's product development process.
- Keep product development on time and within budget.
- Prepare business reports and presentations summarizing market data, customer needs, and trends.
- Manage the company product roadmap.
- Organize cross-functional teams to ensure efficient product development.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other partners.
- Collaborate with Finance and Product teams to develop new product pricing.
- Perform iterative design and rapid prototyping.
- Facilitate the design for manufacturing (DFM) process.
- Lead communications with domestic and international suppliers and partners, particularly in Asia (e.g., Malaysia, Japan, China), to facilitate product development and manufacturing.
Product Improvement
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, operations, and engineering teams (internal and external) to improve existing product lines and develop new products.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform enhancements.
- Develop go-to-market plans and sales strategies.
- Facilitate customer and user testing.
- Identify opportunities for product enhancements based on analysis.
- Analyze product performance metrics and customer feedback.
Product Launch
- Partner with marketing to produce product marketing materials, including brochures and website content.
- Track product performance post-launch, analyze key metrics, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and promotional tactics.
- Work with sales and marketing teams to forecast product launch dates.
- Educate customer service teams on product features for sales support and troubleshooting.
- Create product requirements documents (PRDs) and specifications for customers and suppliers.
Other Duties
- Assist the team with additional work as assigned, demonstrating a can-do attitude.
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate cross-cultural business environments.
- Language proficiency in Japanese, Mandarin, or other Asian languages is considered an asset for effective communication with international suppliers and partners.
- Effectively communicate with all relevant stakeholders, including customers, engineers, designers, sales, and other teams.
- Analyze data and customer feedback to develop strategies and make informed decisions.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to drive product success.
- Identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Think creatively to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure products meet customer needs.
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
- Salary: CAD$65,000
- Annual Cash Performance Bonus up to 10% of annual salary
