The Strategic Pricing Department is looking for a candidate to fill the role
Quote Specialist
. The successful candidate would be willing to take ownership of their position, take initiative, possess the ability to learn and commit to being a team player to provide a premier customer experience.
Responsibilities
As a Quote Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Maintains a disciplined quote structure for nonstandard pricing. Reviews all
- requests for quote and appropriately makes decisions which will ultimately improve the profit levels of the division, taking into effect the current market situations and risk to the division.
- Responsible for quote delivery and initial follow up.
- Co-ordinate special price agreements (spa's) and their renewals.
- Assist with quote renewals and price increase implementation.
- Adhere to the Parker Performance Standards metrics
- Daily quotation of nonstandard product lines. Quotes to be maintained in the quote database along with the competitive database. Quote to be issued at market pricing with complete focus on increasing market share of division products.
- Maintains product knowledge not only with the divisional products but with our major competitors as well. Responsible for keeping competitive information up to date.
- Communicates effectively with all internal and external customers.
- Other assigned tasks as required
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
Education/Certification Requirements
- Fluid Power certificate or related technical diploma
- Post Secondary Education or Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
Experience And Skills
- Strong analytical ability
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skill
- Microsoft office capable -Word, PowerPoint, Access/ Proficient in Excel
- Utilize Parker mainframe(s) and Motion and Control Data Warehouse
