Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our agricultural team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall operation and maintenance of the farm. This role requires a strong work ethic, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. The Farm Hand will play a crucial role in ensuring the productivity and efficiency of our farming operations.

Duties

  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Perform horticultural tasks including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on tools and equipment, including power tools and hand tools.
  • Utilize basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating quantities needed for various tasks.
  • Engage in heavy lifting as required for transporting materials or produce around the farm.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently as needed for farm operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.
  • Experience with cattle
  • Background in horticulture is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with maintenance practices for farm machinery is required.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Basic math skills are necessary for various farming tasks.
  • Must be capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities.
