We are seeking Estimating Students for our Calgary District, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for a minimum of 4 months starting in May

Here's how an Estimating Student contributes to our team:

Responsibilities
Understanding and utilizing PCL's estimating manuals, systems and formsReviewing quantity survey assignment with lead estimator or Chief EstimatorPerforming assigned quantity surveyGiving quantities of major purchase items to purchasing department for pricingTransferring quantities to lead estimatorPerforming general subtrade solicitation dutiesBid document controlPerforming bid day assignmentsVisiting job sites periodically Developing relationships with subcontractorsOther duties as assigned by the Chief Estimator Qualifications
Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
