The organization is seeking an experienced Senior Network Consultant to support a series of upcoming network initiatives across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of complex data routing and switching environments.
- Perform comprehensive wireless assessments, identify coverage gaps, and develop reliable, scalable wireless network solutions.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot wireless infrastructure with a strong emphasis on Meraki technologies.
- Conduct on-site network evaluations across various locations within and outside the city.
- Produce technical documentation, assessment reports, implementation plans, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of network upgrades, installations, and performance improvements.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting expertise for both wired and wireless environments.
- Support the delivery of consistent network standards and best practices across all assigned sites.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience with data routing and switching, including advanced configuration and troubleshooting.
- Strong hands-on skills in wireless network assessment, setup, and optimization.
- Proven expertise with Cisco Meraki wireless and networking solutions.
- Ability to travel frequently for on-site assessments and deployments across Canada.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail and project timelines.
Work Model & Travel
- Location:
Edmonton (Hybrid – work from the Edmonton office with remote flexibility as needed). - Travel:
Required; trips may be up to two weeks, with most being about one week in duration. - Most travel would be in the Edmonton area if onsite work is required for any client work.
- Would be dependent on client project if any travel is required. But in most cases travel outside of Edmonton would be low. Might be one or two trips in a month (within Alberta).
