We invite applications for the position of Deli Manager to join our Food Division Team at our Riverside Food Store located in St. Albert, Alberta. We are looking for an individual that has had success in leading a retail team to pursue a career with our Association

What you'll do:
Responsible for the day-to-day execution of tasks and overall operations of the Deli Department. Achieve budgeted goals related to sales, margin, expenses, and inventory and execute sales strategies that support North Central Co-op's vision. Achieve established objectives in terms of brand, service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery and identify areas for improvement. Recruit, train, develop, coach, and motivate the department team while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members in the pursuit of desired results.
- Prepares, administers and achieves budgeted department goals related to pricing, sales, margin, expenses and inventory.
- Ensures the efficient operation of the department to achieve all financial targets and deliver on budgeted KPI's.
- Assist the Store Manager in communicating operational requirements, operational changes, and translate the vision into departmental initiatives.
- Provide recommendations and supports internal pricing, promotion and product policies in response to local market needs and competition.
- Manage the Deli department team in a positive, engaging way

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:
- Post-secondary education is an asset
- 3 – 5 years proven experience managing a retail deli
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
- You have exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
- You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
