Please note that this position is responsible for the Meat, Deli and Bakery Departments.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To contribute to the achievement of sales and profit objectives through the use of various merchandising methods.
- To remain current and ensure compliance on all Government Legislation relating to the meat/deli/bakery departments.
- To implement marketing programs that support standards, merchandising.
- To implement on-going basis training programs that address the need for meat/deli/bakery department staff development.
- To promote the policy of Customer Friendliness by responding positively to their needs, concerns and inquiries.
- To order and control inventory levels to ensure both selection and freshness of product.
- To ensure Health and Safety Legislation, Policies and Practices are followed within the department.
- To control labour and wrapping costs to budget.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
2 years experience of Assistant Management background - preferably in the Meat Retail Business
Must have a sound knowledge of meat merchandising techniques
Must be willing to follow company dress code
Ability to stand and endure extremes in temperature over extended periods
Ability to lift weights up to 40 kilos
Good understanding of Health and Safety Legislation Policies and Practices
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work accurately in fast passed environment
Must be a self starter and be able to work independently
Must have excellent leadership and organizational skills
Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Proven ability to carry out duties in a safe manner

**Salary**: $40,000.00 per year

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Management: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
