**Overview**
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through your food handling skills and knowledge of food safety practices. Please note: This position is part time to start with the potential for full time, however full time hours will be available immediately for the right person.

Please note: Preference will be given to those with a driver's license and a clean record.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, and prepared foods, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Deliver catering orders either by foot to our neighbourhood or by car
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed.

**Skills**
- Strong food preparation skills with knowledge of food handling practices.
- Driver's License is preferred as you'll be taking the odd delivery
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Background in food service or restaurant experience is essential.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Proficient in basic math for accurate cash handling and transactions.
- Understanding of sanitation practices and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
