Wine Store Cashier

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our Grasslands location as a cashier. This is a fantastic entry level position for anyone interested and looking to know more about wine, beer, and spirits
Requirements and Responsibilities
- Welcoming customers, answering questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations
- Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales
- Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer
- Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints or involving supervisor when necessary
- Bagging or boxing purchases to ensure safe transport
- Confirming customers are of legal age by checking their government-issued I.D.
- Maintaining a clean workspace
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Serve it Right
- At least 19 years of age
- Customer Service or cashier experience will be considered an asset
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift cases of wine (25 lbs), and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service
- Attention to detail
- Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints
- Must be available anytime on weekdays.
