Position: Full-Time Unregulated Care Provider (UCP)

Location: Oakville, Ontario

Shift: Night Shift

Job Description

Vistamere Retirement Residence is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Unregulated Care Provider (UCP) to join our team for the night shift. As a UCP, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing personalized care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Monitor residents' health and report changes to the nursing staff.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents.
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
  • Provide medication administration

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Availability to work overnight hours, including weekends and holidays.
