Human Resources Coordinator – Temporary

Lethbridge Family Services (LFS) is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in a one-year maternity leave coverage. In this role, you will provide consultation and recommendations in all matters related to human resources including recruitment, discipline, disability management, and performance management. You will support the HR team by optimizing our use of technology and data. You will receive ongoing support from a dynamic and skilled team and LFS is a great place to grow your career.

HR Coordinators:

  • coach and mentor supervisors to increase experience and knowledge in all areas of human resources,

  • serve as subject matter expert on employment-related legislation – including employment standards, human rights, and workers' compensation,

  • present HR-related content to large and small groups, including new hire orientation, and

  • optimize the use of HR software (Criterion) for all HR processes, data generation, and reporting.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • a Bachelor of Management, Human Resources, or other degree in human resources,

  • 1+ years of experience in human resources, preferably in social services or nonprofit,

  • technical aptitude and motivated to optimize system efficiency,

  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly present information to diverse groups, and

  • ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.

All new employees of LFS must provide a police information check dated not less than 90 days prior to the date of hire.

Hours: Temporary Position – Until March 15, 2027 or upon the return of the incumbent - 35 hours per week.
