POSITION SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and supporting and growing existing relationships. This role will directly support the development of a new digital channel for one-time shippers. This position enables sales growth by identifying and qualifying potential customers and offering tailored logistics solutions.
REPORTS TO: Head of Marketing
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Generate leads and qualify prospects through various outreach and inbound response tactics.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting.
- Identify customer needs and present tailored solutions to secure new business.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by closing deals and expanding the client base.
Digital Channel and Customer Portal Champion
- Prioritize sales efforts with customers who value self-service, technology-enriched channels.
- Grow and expand customer use of the AMX shipping portal.
- Support AMX Chat as a Live Agent to triage visitors and help facilitate shipments when needed.
Customer Relationship Management
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive retention and repeat business.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery for clients.
Leveraging Digital Marketing & CRM Tools
- Utilize digital marketing channels and tactics to generate leads and engage prospects.
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop targeted campaigns.
- Assess the effectiveness of digital outreach efforts to optimize engagement and conversions.
- Utilize CRM software to track leads, sales activities, and customer interactions.
- Assist in development of sales strategies based on data analysis and market feedback.
Market & Solutions Knowledge
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of American Expediting's services and capabilities.
- Educate potential and existing customers on the value of our logistics solutions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of sales experience in transportation/logistics, ideally B2B.
- Bilingual French/English in verbal and written communications
- Proven success generating and qualifying leads and managing accounts.
- Comfortable cold prospecting for new business.
- Experience using digital tools and digital sales channels.
- Ability to maintain a high number of accounts within the portfolio (100+), with daily engagement.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain quality of work, and CRM discipline.
- Engaged teammate, working in support of/in partnership with various members of the sales team.
Preferred Experience
- Successful at building strong customer and internal relationships.
- HubSpot experience.
- Logistics for the Medical / Life Sciences Industry.
