  • Role: Class A Gas Fitter
  • Location: Hope Bay, NWT - Immediate Start
  • Shift: 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off; Fly in/Fly out, Camp work
  • Pre-Employment Condition: Pre-employment D&A test required
  • Required Experience: Powerflame C burners, Honeywell BMS, 5514-8B-L4 Fives North Burners, Fireye BMS, indirect heaters - Frost Fighters, Ice Fighters, Flagros, Allman heaters

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, regulations, and safe work procedures.
  • Mentor laborers in the maintenance, replacement, and installation of equipment.
  • Conduct and document combustion, shutdown, and flame arrestor tests, ensuring compliance with CSA and governing bodies.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment such as propane and natural gas-fired heaters, Dehy's, tank heaters, re-boilers, incinerators, and combustors.
  • Plan and execute emergency shutdowns, fire heater testing, and custom burner/emission tuning, ensuring proper resources are in place.
  • Provide commissioning, start-up testing, unit tuning, and basic instrument services for combustion and emissions equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrument, and combustion-related issues.
  • Understand safety legislation, regulations, and best practices to ensure safe project execution.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have Class A Gasfitter ticket.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean Drivers Abstract.
  • Other Journeyperson certificates a plus
