CDN is a recognized industry leader in the energy services sector. CDN is a full-service provider with expertise in E&I maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion & emissions reduction, and measurement.
We are looking to hire a **Branch Manager** for our **Valleyview**location to over see full cycle operations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate field employee’s work schedules.
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers/clients and provide assistance with any problems that may occur.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for all field staff.
- Recommend promotions and raises to be approved by Director of Operations.
- Support and mentor apprentices and Journeymen.
- Network within Valleyview to attract new business and communicate results to Sales Department for follow up.
- Work with the People and Culture Department to solve employee problems.
- Conduct disciplinary actions when required.
- Work with the CFO to manage budgets, allocate branch funds, and define financial objectives.
- Monitor department and project expenses to ensure all budget requirements are met.
- Provide support to Estimating Department when preparing quotes for projects.
- Review daily job tickets.
- Collaborate with Office Manager
- Valleyview to stay up to date with Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.
- Actively participate in Weekly WIP and AR/AP meetings with Head Office.
- Monitor the costs, productivity, and scheduling associated with the Valleyview branch.
- Be an active role model in relaying company culture and safety culture.
- Comply with the standards and safety procedures of CDN’s Health & Safety manual.
- Maximize manpower while utilizing the skills, material, and other resources to ensure efficiencies are met and exceeded.
- Be proactive and examine possible opportunities while working closely with the Director of Operations to ensure all areas of improved growth can be obtained.
- Be a team player and establish better practices and standards for estimating, managing business development, and evaluating projects and ensuring commitment to CDN’s core values.
- Provide technical assistance and recommendations for proper operations, design, and electrical installations.
- Conduct periodic site visits and take the time to build rapport with the team and understand all Journeymen and Apprentices skills and strengths to develop and maintain a strong team.
- Develop the project budget for direct, indirect, and other costs based on the estimate provided for job scope.
- Participate and lead monthly safety meetings.
- Work with project teams and ensure targets are being met and conduct regular reviews/follow ups for progress reports and changes.
- Manage work orders for different Producers to handle maintenance requests.
- Research and learn new products and hardware.
- Work with other branches to coordinate scheduling of manpower.
- All other duties as assigned.
**Job Requirements**:
- 5-10 years as a Journeyman Electrician or Instrument Technician.
- 2-5 years Management experience
- Strong sense of leadership and team building skills.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability organize and prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks.
- Expert knowledge in Electrical and Instrumentation.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Must hold all valid safety tickets required under CDN Controls ULC.’s Health and Safety program.
