About this opportunity:
The Senior Treasury Analyst, Treasury, Trading and Global Liquidity plays a key role in driving organizational value through the execution and development of a global FX program and proactive working capital optimization. This position sits at the center of daily liquidity management, foreign exchange strategy, and working capital funding analysis, partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cash is efficiently deployed, risks are effectively managed, and the business is well positioned to navigate dynamic financial markets. Well suited for a self-driven treasury professional, this role offers strong visibility and impact for someone who thrives in analytical problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

This position is located in Calgary, AB

What you'll do:

  • Support and help develop a global, multi-billion-dollar FX program and long-term foreign exchange strategy.
  • Review and analyze global liquidity requirements daily, investing excess cash and funding shortfalls through FX trades, debt issuance, or other mechanisms across multiple currencies.
  • Lead initiatives to improve working capital by analyzing costs and benefits, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and providing recommendations to leadership.
  • Prepare timely, accurate liquidity reporting and analysis for senior leadership to support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and recommend updates to SOX narratives as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external partners, including Crude Oil Trading, Crude Settlements, Treasury Accounting, Risk, Credit, Legal, HR, Kyriba, and banking partners.
  • Lead treasury initiatives and ad hoc projects as assigned by the Manager.

Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional designation such as CFA or CTP is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Experience executing financial transactions or working capital initiatives is an asset.
  • Strong interest in financial markets.
