Description du poste

Relevant du directeur de l'ingénierie, le Chargé de projets Méthodes est responsable d'optimiser les procédés de fabrication, de structurer les méthodes de travail et de soutenir les équipes de production afin d'assurer la qualité, la productivité et la maîtrise des coûts.

Responsabilités principales

  • Participer au développement de produits (processus Stage Gate) et structurer la mise en œuvre des procédés manufacturiers.
  • Analyser et optimiser les procédés de production existants en termes de productivité, d'efficacité et de qualité.
  • Élaborer, standardiser et documenter les instructions de travail et les gammes opératoires.
  • Définir et maintenir les nomenclatures, temps standards et plans de fabrication.
  • Optimiser l'aménagement des postes selon les principes d'ergonomie et de lean manufacturing.
  • Effectuer des études de temps et mouvements et recommander des améliorations.
  • Collaborer avec la production et les équipes multidisciplinaires pour résoudre les problématiques techniques.
  • Contribuer à la formation des opérateurs sur les nouveaux procédés.
  • Suivre les indicateurs de performance manufacturière et proposer des actions correctives.
  • Participer activement aux projets d'amélioration continue et de réduction des coûts.

Profil recherché

Formation :

  • Baccalauréat ou DEC en génie industriel, mécanique ou domaine connexe.

Expérience :

  • 5 à 10 ans d'expérience pertinente en méthodes industrielles, amélioration continue ou industrialisation.
  • Solide connaissance des outils Lean et Six Sigma.
  • Expérience en milieu manufacturier, idéalement dans le transport ou les produits mécaniques complexes.

Compétences techniques :

  • Maîtrise des logiciels de conception et ERP (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Infor, etc.).
  • Capacité à analyser des données et à réaliser des études de temps et mouvements.
  • Esprit d'analyse, rigueur et autonomie.
  • Excellente communication et collaboration interdisciplinaire.
  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais), essentiel dans un contexte international.

Schedule: 39 hours per week (core 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.), hybrid 1–2 days/week

As part of its ongoing growth and modernization, it is seeking a skilled professional to join its engineering team as a Methods Project Manager.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Engineering Director, the Methods Project Manager is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, structuring work methods, and supporting production teams to ensure quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

  • Participate in product development (Stage Gate process) and implement efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze and optimize existing production methods for productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Develop, standardize, and document work instructions and process sheets.
  • Define and maintain bills of materials, standard times, and manufacturing sequences.
  • Improve workstation layouts based on lean and ergonomic principles.
  • Conduct time and motion studies and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to solve technical issues.
  • Support operator training for new methods and processes.
  • Track manufacturing KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in cost optimization and process improvement projects.

Qualifications

Education:

  • University degree or technical diploma in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5–10 years of experience in industrial methods, process optimization, or continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience in manufacturing, ideally in transportation or complex mechanical products.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with design and ERP tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Infor, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) required for international client and supplier interaction.
