Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our team at Raydius Medical's new Whitecourt location, opening November 2025. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams on patients in a professional and compassionate manner. You will be working with a team of healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care and ensure the accuracy of diagnostic results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound examinations on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  • Analyze images and data to ensure high-quality diagnostic results and provide accurate reports to healthcare professionals
  • Explain procedures and results to patients in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions or needed repairs to appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
  • Provide compassionate care to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring comfort during procedures.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited Sonography program
  • Registered or eligible for registration with Sonography Canada. The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is optional
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to ultrasound procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in the use of ultrasound equipment and related software
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
