Job Summary

Advocate Medical Imaging (AMI) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MSK/Generalist Sonographer to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, providing high-quality imaging to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. The Sonographer will work closely with the onsite Radiologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results while maintaining a compassionate approach towards patient care.

Duties

  • Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to Musculoskeletal, abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and vascular studies.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
  • Utilize ultrasound equipment effectively to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed and document findings in patient charts.
  • Collaborate with physicians to discuss imaging results and provide insights based on observations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness of the ultrasound equipment and work area.
  • Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through continuous education.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Sonography program or equivalent training.
  • Certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (CRGS) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to sonography and anatomy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for interpreting ultrasound images accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion towards patients.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $41.96-$53.83 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 41.5 per week
