Birch Mountain Enterprises (BME) is hiring journeyman Heavy Equipment Technicians immediately for our Fort McKay Incubator Park Location, located within the Fort McKay First Nation to work on our off-road equipment.

Job Summary: 

Operating from our client shite, this position involves shop and field repairs to our fleet of Wiggle wagon trucks.  Candidates shall have knowledge of all aspects of wiggle wagon trucks with preference given to those who possess experience with water, vac, high pressure, and flusher units.  
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Repair or replace defective parts, components or systemsInstall new or replacement parts according to manufacturer and/or truck specificationTest repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure work completed meets manufacturers' specifications.Completion of repair documentation including but not limited to work order, field level risk assessment, and hazard identificationFollow instructions for tasks assigned by the shop supervisorComplete daily housekeeping of assigned area or service vehicle to ensure maintenance of company imageAttend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

Must be certified as a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (min 3 years Off-road experience)Possess a valid driver's license (min class 5) with a clean abstractBe knowledgeable in all aspects of heavy truck repair including, but not limited to hydraulic, electronic, suspension, and computer diagnosisPrevious or related experience with off-road equipment, specifically wiggle wagonsPrevious experience with water, vac, and steam equipment would be considered an asset.Clear verbal and written communication skillsOSSA (or OSSA BSO) and CSTS certificationMust successfully pass BME pre-employment evaluation, D&A, and fit for duty pre-employment screening
