Responsibilities
- Ensures overall compliance of Ledcor's health, safety, and environmental standards as well as occupational health and safety regulations daily
- Demonstrates ability to lead teams effectively in the day to day execution of the work by managing resources, materials, and labour
- Reports to the Superintendent any problems or unforeseen issues that could affect the project plan
- Trains, supports and offers ongoing guidance to all crew members
- Completes daily paperwork and involved in conducting daily toolbox talks
- Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor's high standards for safety and quality
Qualifications & Requirements
- Journeyperson Carpenter with 2-3+ years' experience in a leadership role
- Experience working on major infrastructure and bridge projects highly desired
- Ability to adapt information and communication style to the audience
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean 3-year driver's abstract
- CSTS-2020 Fundamentals, WHMIS 2015, ESC Fall Protection, Confined Space and Elevated Work Platform, Ground Disturbance L2 (training provided)
Work Conditions
- Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day with potential overtime required over the summer months on the weekend
- Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed
