We are currently looking to recruit **a Carpenter Foreperson **to join our team for work in Edmonton, AB.

**Job duties include**:

- Train apprentices and other employees
- Promote a culture of safety, compliant with policy and legislation
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, project owners, and subcontractors;
- Supervise construction crew of 5 to 10 workers and working groups;
- Organize, plan and time keep the work of employees
- Schedule activities of workers and coordinate with sub-trades
- Assist in the development of project schedules and inspection and test plans;
- Provide daily work-in-progress updates to the Project Manager and Construction Manager;
- Coordinate cost effective and timely repair and maintenance of equipment and tools
- Maintain records in accordance with company policies
- Monitor and ensure work quality meets standards
- Plan, coordinate and deliver on project requirements
- Handle job site security
- Perform construction tasks as required

**Required Knowledge, Experience, and Skill Set include**:

- Journeyman Trade Certification and/or equivalent technical diploma
- Carpentry experience, minimum 5-10 years with 1-2 years experience leading and supervising a crew
- WHMIS 2015; Fall Protection and CSTS2020 are required
- Follow all applicable safety regulations
- Construction knowledge
- Good verbal and written communication skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- construction: 5 years (preferred)
